VOOC distributes 400 Easter baskets

Page5B272PHILIPSBURG--Pupils of the Leonard Connor, Charles Leopold Bell, Prins Willem Alexander and the Rainbow Bright Play School were treated to Easter baskets prepared and distributed by the Voice of our Children (VOOC) Foundation Wednesday.

The foundation catered for at least 400 pupils and the baskets were distributed by an Easter bunny travelling around in a Jeep Wrangler. The Easter bunny personally delivered the baskets to all the pupils of the preselected classes and schools.

While driving along L.B. Scott Road it was learnt that pupils of the Oranje School were having a sports day at the John Cooper José Lake Sr. Ballpark, so the Easter bunny made a stop to greet the pupils and the remaining baskets were distributed to the teachers while the pupils received candy.

The Easter bunny also drove through Philipsburg escorted by police and distributed candy to various youngsters in the area, while wishing all a Happy Easter.

VOOC extended its gratitude to the sponsors: Prime Distributors, BNC and Divico.
