Leadership training for new university entrants again

 The leadership programme conducted by the Ministry of Higher education for the newly selected university students will begin on May 27 in 24 centres islandwide, spokesmen to the Ministry said. 

This is the second consecutive programme and 10,000 students are expected to undergo the training programme until July 15. 
 
According to the Higher Education Ministry this year’s programme has been planned with the suggestions received from students participated the event last year, parents and University academics.
 
The students are expected to report to their training centres before 6 p.m on May 27.  
 
Last year’s leadership training programme ran into controversy with claims that students were given a military training.
