Adolescent health survey

page1b135A research team from US-based Emory University, in collaboration with local stakeholders, including the Collective Prevention Services (CPS) General Public Health Section and St. Maarten AIDS Foundation, started today a week-long adolescent health survey aimed at creating an overview of the issues that affect St. Maarten teenagers. The general objective is to enhance the understanding of factors that influence the health and wellness of young persons, with the emphasis on HIV and sexual and reproductive health. In photo: Visiting researchers and a CPS official trained University of St. Martin Student Government Association volunteers yesterday. The volunteers also will help to conduct the survey. They will be conducting the survey at several high schools during the week and be will in various communities to include out-of-school teenagers in the survey.
