More clashes in Yemeni capital

Clashes reported in the Yemeni capital on Saturday as 37 people were killed in 24 hours. Republican Guard troops, commanded by President Ali Saleh's son Ahmed, have been battling with dissident soldiers from the First Armoured Brigade led by General Ali Mohsen al-Ahmar. Security forces have also been fighting supporters of dissident tribal chief Sheikh Sadiq al-Ahmar in Sanaa's northern Al-Hasaba district.

According to AFP, the fighting has caused 132 deaths since Sunday.
