ST. PETERS--Betty's Estate resident Victor E. Thomas, who went missing on Saturday, was found in the bushes in the vicinity of Sheik Supermarket around 8:15pm Tuesday where he had slipped and fallen.
Thomas (79) has suffered memory problems for some time now and his niece Sherlyne Winklaar believes he became lost on his way to the supermarket. The recent showers had made the ground very slippery and paramedics slipped more than once on the way to rescue him after an elderly woman, part of a search party, found him conscious, but suffering extreme dehydration.
The paramedics rushed Thomas to St. Maarten Medical Center where he was met by reporters and his immediate family. He remained in stable condition as of press time.
