PHILIPSBURG--A man was shot from behind at the S.E.L. Maduro and Sons N.V. parking lot on Monday around 6:20pm.
Police stated briefly that the shooting involved two men who were arguing about a bill. Upset, one man pulled out a gun and shot the other from behind, hitting the victim in the buttocks. The victim walked for a bit, collapsing near the entrance of a casino on the same street.
Police and paramedics responded to the scene. Paramedics reported that the wound was serious, but not life-threatening. The area was closed off so the Forensics Department could collect evidence. Detectives questioned the victim and other witnesses.
