A valuable gold chain placed on a statue inside the Munneshwarm temple has been stolen, Police revealed today.
In addition two collection boxes which contained an estimated Rs. 100,000 each have been removed by the robbers.
Police said that according to estimates they recieved the chain was around Rs. 1 million.
The place is under CCTV coverage, but in this instance the pictures had been blured making difficult to identify.
However police said they are confident of an early breakthrough as they have received vital information.
