Muammar Gaddafi?s son Saadi Gaddafi has been detained by the authorities in Niger, Al Arabia TV announced. Libyan authorities have been trying to arrest Saadi for a long time but authorities in Niger refused to yield to Libya?s arguments on this matter.
The arrest comes two days after Saadi told Al-Arabiya TV in a telephone interview that supporters of his father?s ousted regime ?are suffering tremendously? in Libyan prisons at the hands of the new regime. According to him, his return to Libya was imminent.
