Demands for 15 % per cent bus fare increase from July 1

A 15% increment of the current bus fare has been requested for the annual bus fare increase which will come into effect from July 1 onwards, President of the Bus Owers Association, Gemunu Wijeratne said.

According to the agreement with the Unions, the government should call them for discussions regarding the matter within 14 days from today and calculate the new bus fare according to the conclusions made at the discussions.
