Hotline for Lankans in US affected by Hurricane Irene

Inview of the �adverse weather conditions caused by Hurricane Irene in the Eastern Coast and the devastation it could produce, The Embassy of Sri Lanka has opened a hotline for all Sri Lankans and Sri Lankan Americans to contact Embassy officials around the clock if required.

Under the directions of� Ambassador Jaliya Wickramasuriya,� Embassy officials are on continuous watch with a view to provide maximum possible assistance to any Sri Lankans who may be affected by the adverse weather conditions, a spokesman for the embassy said..

This hotline will be in operation until the hurricane passes U.S. borders.
