Temporary filling of Great Salt Pond has been done to facilitate the placement of the new 48-inch pipe for the management of water levels in the pond. The same exercise was conducted in the area of TelEm and University of St. Martin. All the trees alongside the parking lot will be removed to accommodate the pipe-laying in accordance with the contract. The situation will be restored once the work is completed. There are no protected salt pans anywhere near the working area.
