COLE BAY--Fai Wong Restaurant on Wellington Road was robbed around 8:30pm on Saturday, July 22.
Two men wearing masks completely covering their faces, jackets and one wearing a backpack arrived at the restaurant on a scooter, entered the restaurant and demanded money from the cashier attendant. The robber with the backpack ordered the cashier attendant to place all the money in the backpack, but no coins, avoiding fingerprints being left behind.
Diners at the restaurant were robbed as well as the robbers ordered them to place their personal belongings like mobile phones and wallets into the backpacks. The two men then escaped on their scooter.
Police arrived on the scene soon after they were called and began investigating the situation. It has been reported that this is the second time that Fai Wong Restaurant has been the victim of a robbery within a week.
