No more driver’s licences for French side residents

POND ISLAND--As of June 1, the Civil Registry will no longer issue driver's licenses to people registered as living on the French side, Civil Registry Head Leona Romeo-Marlin said Tuesday.

Marlin explained that decision is in accordance with a Ministerial Decree issued on June 7, 2011.

All French-side residents with Dutch-side licences are advised to take note of this change.
