Employees protest against irregular recruitment and political involvement

State Engineering Corporation (SEC) employees staged a protest outside the office premises in Colombo 2 today demanding the authorities to stop the present irregular procedure in recruiting and the usage of SEC vehicles for political purposes.

The other demands include cutting down excessive expenses, to re-introduce the medical allowance, to let employees use tourist bungalows owned by the Corporation during holiday seasons and to stop irregular promotions.��
