� � Some 5280 soldiers and officers have been arrested by the authorities since the crack down on army deserters since November one to date, a senior official said yesterday. � Military spokesperson- Major General Ubaya Medawala said that among those arrested were 12 officers from different regiments. � He added that those rounded up are currently being questioned to ascertain if they were involved in criminal activity during their time out with the army. � The crack down is set to continue for several more months, he added.
