Attorney General Ms Eva Wanasundara has been appointed as a justice of the Supreme Court with immediate effect from today, Government Information Department said.
Ms Wanasundara was sworn in before the president a short while ago.
Mr Palitha Fernando is to be appointed as the next Attorney General.
