One of the batches who were evacuated from Libya today met with FEB officials as well as their job agents in Colombo and demanded that adequate compensation be given to them as they had lost their jobs.
?Each of us paid Rs. 250,000 each to get jobs in Libya, but some of� us worked only two to three months?,� one of the returnees L. Ratnakumara told Timesonline.
�?We fled in all directions when the troubles started in Libya. Some mobs broke into our hostel and took away the food items and even drinking water?, he said.
Mr. Ratnakumar said�they were expecting that the FEB will step in to provide relief which may include alternative foreign employment.
Meanwhile 84 more Sri Lankans evacuated from Libya returned to the country today.
