The unemployment rate rose to 11.6 per cent during the second quarter of this year compared with 11.4 per cent during the first three months, according to the Department of Statistics (DoS). The report of DoS, released Tuesday, showed that the unemployment rate for the second quarter of this year is less than the same period of 2011 when unemployment was 13.1 per cent. Unemployment rate for 2011 stood at 12.1.
