Iranian auto-regime: motorists guzzling 3% less gas

The data released by the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) shows that during the week total gasoline consumption hit 427.2 million liters down by 13.1 million liters week on week. Gasoil consumption also edged down. During the week which ended on June 29, total gasoil consumption reached 547 million liters down by 47.1 million liters, or 7.9 percent, week on week while average daily gasoil consumption stood at 78.1 million liters, the oil ministry's website, Shana, reported.

Average daily gasoline consumption in Iran stood at 62.02 million liters during the week ending on June 29 down by 2.9 percent compared with a week earlier.
