The family of MP Duminda Silva filed a revision motion in the Colombo High Court today seeking a revocation in the order made previously by a Magistrate that the MP cannot be represented by counsel during the magisterial inquiry into the murder of Baratha Lakshman Premachandra on the grounds he is not in a state of consciousness.
The motion asked for a revocation of the Magistrate’s order that a counsel cannot represent MP Silva without written authorization.
However in the revision motion, his family said that this order is incorrect and wants the High Court to overturn it.
