Assad cousin denied entry to Switzerland

Switzerland has refused an entry visa to a cousin of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. According to a Swiss daily, Hafez Makhluof wanted to meet his lawyer in Switzerland.

Hafez Makhluf is the intelligence chief and opposed the sanctions imposed by Switzerland against the Syrian regime and its officials. For this reason he wanted to come to Switzerland to talk to his lawyer, the paper reported. However, the Federal Court, the highest court in the European country, has recently issued its decision to ban his entry to Switzerland.
