Two arrested for posing off as CID and extorting money

Five persons were arrested for extorting money from a Tamil family after posing off as CID 

Officers, police said.

 

They had demanded 25000 pounds from the family after claiming that the mother and daughter  were to be arrested.

 

The suspects were arrested by the Colombo Crime Division. (CCD)
