Jordan's foreign minister said late Tuesday that the first meeting between Israeli and Palestinian peace negotiators in more than a year ended without any significant breakthroughs. The meeting was held in Amman.
According to minister Nasser Judeh, the talks were held in a "positive atmosphere." Although he claimed there were no breakthroughs on matters of "substance," he stressed "the important thing is the two sides have met face to face." The two sides agreed to hold another meeting next week.
