At least 11 dead in Syria as France says Arab plan not to be respected

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that at least 11 civilians, including three in Homs, were killed by Syrian security forces on the first day of Eid al-Adha.

In spite of the ongoing military operations in Homs demonstrations continued to be held. Now it seems Homs turned into a center for the protest movement against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

On his part, French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said Sunday it was clear that al-Assad was not going to implement the Arab roadmap and there was "nothing more to expect" from his regime.
