Syria: Coastal city isolated as many residents arrested

Rami Abdel Rahman, head of the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, said  telephone, electricity and water supplies were cut off from the city of Banias, which has a population of 50 thousand people. Abdul Rahman added the city is isolated from the outside world. In the southern districts of the city, the center of the protest movement, snipers stationed on rooftops.
