Protest against arrest of Sri Lankan

A protest led by group of monks was held yesterday (July 11) in front of the Saudi Embassy against the arrest of a Sri Lankan worker in Saudi Arabia.

The protesters claimed that the Lankan worker was arrested for worshipping a statue of Lord Buddha.

Family members of the migrant worker also participated in the protest.

Meanwhile, Sri Lankan Embassy in Saudi denied the claims and said he was arrested for some
other reason.
